Ohio State senior guard C.J. Jackson will be out with a shoulder injury against Maryland, the team announced Saturday.

The extent of his injury and how long he will be out has not been disclosed.

The senior guard, who has started 25 of 26 games for the Buckeyes this season, suffered the injury against Michigan State on Sunday, limiting him to 11 minutes in the second half. Jackson then played 19 minutes against Northwestern on Wednesday, scoring five points on 2-of-8 shooting.

Jackson is second on the team in scoring, averaging 12.5 points per game.

In his absence, Ohio State will likely look to freshman guard Duane Washington, who averages 6.8 points per game, and redshirt senior guard Keyshawn Woods, who averages 6.4 points per game, to make up for Jackson’s minutes.

Ohio State will take on Maryland in College Park at 2 p.m. Saturday.
