Ohio State issues safety notice regarding criminal drugging

According to a public safety notice sent through email, the Ohio State University Department of Public Safety has been notified of accounts related to possible occurrences of criminal drugging at off-campus parties and bars. There are limited details.

Law enforcement advised all students to take the following precautions: party responsibly, do not ingest unsealed beverages, do not set drinks down or leave them unattended and report suspicious activity to police.

The safety notice reminded the community that drugging another is a crime and is a serious offense.

Anyone with information related to criminal acts should report them immediately by calling University Police at 614-292-2121 or Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
