After Matthew Baldwin announced he would transfer,  Ohio State only had two quarterbacks on scholarship: Justin Fields and Chris Chugunov with Danny Vanatsky rounding out the room as a walk-on.

On Friday, Ohio State head coach Ryan Day added some depth at the quarterback position.

Three-star quarterback JP Andrade announced his commitment to the Buckeyes on Twitter. Andrade is the No. 57 pro-style quarterback in the country.

Hailing from La Verne, California, Andrade is the No. 185 prospect from the state.
