Johnnie Dixon became the third Ohio State wide receiver signed by a team, joining the Houston Texans as an undrafted free agent.

Former Buckeye receivers Parris Campbell and Terry McLaurin selected in the second and third round by the Indianapolis Colts and Washington Redskins respectively.

Dixon’s fifth and final season for the Buckeyes was his best. He was named a team captain and hauled in a team third-best 42 receptions and eight touchdowns while tacking on a career-high 669 yards.

Despite knee injuries limiting Dixon to seven catches and 55 yards combined for his first three years in Columbus, his 16 touchdown grabs in the past two seasons put him at No. 11 all-time among Ohio State wide receivers.

Three of Dixon’s eight touchdowns this past season came in Ohio State’s last three games, as the Buckeyes defeated Michigan, Northwestern in the Big Ten Championship and Washington in the Rose Bowl.
