Commitments continue to flow in following Ohio State’s Buckeye Bash and Barbecue, an event that hosted multiple four and five-star prospects from the classes of 2020 and 2021.
Four-star 2020 linebacker Cody Simon, who participated in the event on June 21, announced his pledge to the Buckeyes on twitter Saturday.
After much deliberation with my family and coaches, I have made the decision to attend THE Ohio State University‼️I am grateful to now be able to focus on my team and our success for the 2019 season. pic.twitter.com/e2CTj4U0VW

Simon is the nation’s No. 10 outside linebacker and No. 154 prospect overall by 247Sports. He’s also rated the No. 4 prospect from New Jersey, where Ohio State also holds a commitment from center Luke Wypler, the state’s No. 2 prospect.
After holding commitments from only two defensive players entering this past weekend, the Buckeyes have added two four-star defensive prospects and are a potential destination for four-star Ohio defensive tackle Darrion Henry. Henry announces his commitment Saturday at 5 p.m.
