Outside linebacker Kourt Williams announced his commitment to Ohio State Wednesday to become the second four-star linebacker in the Buckeyes’ 2020 recruiting class.

Williams is ranked the No. 12 outside linebacker in the country, and the No. 13 overall prospect in his home state of California.

The Bellflower, Calif. native visited Texas A&M, Tennessee, Penn State and Oklahoma prior to his official Ohio State visit on June 21.

With a 6-foot-1, 216-pound frame and having been recruited by a defensive backs specialist in co-defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley, Williams will likely see time at Ohio State’s linebacker-safety hybrid bullet position.

Williams is now the fourth four-star prospect in the 2020 class that Hafley is credited with recruiting since June 21.

Ohio State offered Williams an official scholarship in March when he came to Columbus for an unofficial visit.
