Ohio State received the second commitment of its 2021 class Tuesday with Garfield Heights combo guard Meechie Johnson.
Johnson is rated the No. 71 recruit in the country, and the No. 3 ranked prospect in Ohio, per 247Sports.
With Johnson’s commitment, Ohio State becomes the only program in the nation with two recruits for its 2021 class.
Johnson joins four-star forward Kalen Etzler, the No. 7 ranked player in Ohio, who committed to the Buckeyes on May 12.
Gonzaga, Pepperdine, Washington State and Virginia are the only other programs with a committed recruit in 2021, meaning Ohio State currently holds the nation’s No. 1 rated class.
The Cleveland, Ohio, native made his announcement on Instagram Tuesday evening.
