A man with a handwritten Uber sign on his windshield solicited a female Ohio State student to enter his car on Sunday at 12:30 p.m, according to an Ohio State Campus Neighborhood Safety Notice email.

The student was walking near Indianola Avenue and E. 15th Avenue when the car pulled up beside her. The unknown driver asked her to get in the car, but when she declined and walked away, the driver drove away and headed north, according to the safety notice.

“The vehicle [was] described as a white, medium-sized car with a white piece of paper on the windshield with a handwritten note that [said] ‘Uber.’ The driver [was] described as a black male in his 30s with long dreadlocks, standing approximately 6’0” and weighing 190 pounds,” according to the safety notice.
