After piling up 141 yards through one quarter of play against No. 3 Clemson in the Fiesta Bowl, Ohio State junior running back J.K. Dobbins is the new single-season rushing record holder for the Buckeyes.

Dobbins surpassed the 1995 season by former Ohio State running back Eddie George, in which the Heisman Trophy Winner rushed for 1,927 yards.

Dobbins accrued his yardage total at a clip of over 6.5 yards per carry in 2019, picking up his 21st rushing touchdown in Saturday’s contest.

The Texas native is No. 2 on Ohio State’s career rushing list at 4,422, trailing only the 5,589 of Archie Griffin.

Ohio State leads Clemson 10-0 with 45 minutes to play.
