Ohio State has been selected as the No. 2 seed for the College Football Playoff and will face No. 3 Clemson in the Playstation Fiesta Bowl, the College Football Playoff selection committee announced Sunday.

The Buckeyes capped a 13-0 campaign with three consecutive top-15 wins against then-No. 10 Penn State, then-No. 13 Michigan and then-No. 8 Wisconsin. The latter victory secured the team’s third straight Big Ten title.

Clemson will be Ohio State’s opponent in the Fiesta Bowl. The Tigers rounded off their season 13-0 with an ACC title, and stand as defending national champions from 2018 on a 28-game winning streak.

The winner of the Fiesta Bowl semifinal will face the winner of the Peach Bowl semifinal, between No. 1 LSU and No. 4 Oklahoma, in New Orleans for the College Football Playoff National Championship Jan. 13.

Ohio State and Clemson will play Dec. 28 in Phoenix.
