Ohio State sophomore guard Duane Washington will be out against Minnesota Sunday with a rib injury.

Washington is the Buckeyes’ No. 2 scorer with 11.4 points per game during the team’s 9-0 run to start the season. He proved pivotal in top 10 victories against Villanova and North Carolina, scoring 14 and 18 points, respectively.

The Michigan native leads Ohio State in 3-point shooting percentage at an astounding 54 percent, and also holds the team lead in made 3s with 22.

In his absence, sophomore guard Luther Muhammad could see more time at shooting guard against Minnesota. The Buckeyes could also utilize more dual-point guard looks with freshman D.J. Carton and redshirt junior CJ Walker.

Ohio State and Minnesota tip off at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
