Ohio State junior defensive end Chase Young will forego his senior season and enter the 2020 NFL Draft, the Maryland native announced via Twitter Friday.

Young set a school record with 16.5 sacks in 2019, finishing with 30.5 for his career. Only former defensive end Mike Vrabel had more in his Buckeye career with 36.

After his record-setting 2019 season, Young took home both the Bronko Nagurski and Chuck Bednarik Awards as college football’s best defensive player, in addition to the Ted Hendricks Award as its best defensive end and the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.

Young earned both first-team All-Big Ten and first-team All-American honors.

Multiple mock draft boards project Young as a top 5 pick, and he’ll find out his professional destination when the draft opens April 23.
