While the 2020 recruiting cycle is in its final stages, Ohio State made another move toward a top-tier 2021 class Wednesday.

Four-star offensive guard Donovan Jackson, a top 60 national prospect, chose Ohio State over offers from Alabama, Georgia, Texas, Texas A&M and Stanford, among others.

Jackson is the No. 7 overall prospect from Texas in the class, and the No. 11 offensive guard.

The 6-foot-4, 308-pound lineman helped Episcopal High School to a 9-1 record in 2020, with a Southwest Preparatory Conference championship.

Ohio State now has seven four- and five-star commitments in the class of 2021, six of which are in the top 75 nationally. It holds the nation’s No. 1 team ranking.
