Ohio State’s Department of Public Safety issued a Neighborhood Safety Notice regarding an off-campus burglary Sunday.
Around 10 p.m., a burglary was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred near East 13th Avenue. An Ohio State student returned to her apartment expecting the door to be unlocked, but when she arrived the door was locked.
During that time, an unknown male was trying to steal some of her belongings, and when confronted, the suspect pointed a gun at the victim demanding her cellphone. No injuries were reported.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction and details regarding appearance are limited. Anyone with information about the crime is asked to call Columbus Police at 614-645-4545.
