Students close to campus can beat the summer heat with the little-known treasure found in the Historic Costume and Textile Collection. Located in the Geraldine Schottenstein Wing in Campbell Hall, it is just a few minutes' walk from central campus. This building houses one of the largest collections of historic costumes, clothing and accessories in Ohio - more than 11,500 pieces and growing.
The Historic Costume & Textiles Collection, sponsored by the College of Human Ecology through the department of consumer sciences, will be on display at Campbell Hall through the end of October. Gayle Strege, the curator of the collection, said the program is funded by small endowments, the group's annual dues and donations.
World famous designers such as Bob Mackie, Emmanuel Ungaro, Oscar de la Renta and Edith Head are among the names represented in the newest exhibition at the Ohio State University's Historic Costume and Textiles Collection. Full Story
