No screaming at Dole-Dean debate
People of opposing views and differential opinions filled the Ohio Union Ballroom yesterday to witness the debate between former Senator Bob Dole and former Governor of Vermont Howard Dean. Moderator WBNS 10TV news/anchor reporter Dave Kaylor began the event with the never-tiring chant of "OH-IO", symbolic of the casual nature of the rest of the evening's debate. "I think we find that there are two different ideologies of how to solve the problems of our country," Kaylor said. "And i think that was demonstrated tonight by Senator Bob Dole and Governor Howard Dean. This was the first time they [Dole and Dean] had ever been together and they complimented each other very well. In some cases, we found that they kind of agreed with each other, and the response of the student body was fantastic."<br />
