I am disturbed to see a lack of real news included in The Lantern. Is it not the purpose of the newspaper to inform the student? If this is the case, someone has dropped the proverbial ball and missed a huge series of stories emanating from the highly controversial Middle East conflict.

This past weekend into Monday, there were 5 suicide bombings in Israel within 48 hours, targeting Israeli civilians by Hamas and Islamic Jihad. From a woman at a mall to a bike rider to a man dressed like an observant Jewish male, Palestinian suicide bombers have become very creative in trying to kill innocent civilians.

I am very upset that this hasn’t been considered big enough news to publish in The Lantern and I hope that the decision to publish news about this sort of activity is made.

The students of Ohio State deserve to know the truth when it comes to news from the Middle East conflict to combat the bigoted anti-Israel propaganda they are bombarded with while on campus.
