On Friday, Nov. 14, from midnight to 2 a.m., the Pi Beta Phi sorority will be hosting the first “Pi Night” to benefit the Pi Beta Phi Foundation, which promotes children’s literacy across the country.

“We wanted to try something different this year in addition to our annual spring volleyball tournament,” said Caitlin Jelepis, a fourth-year in art education and vice president of philanthropy for Pi Beta Phi. “Our goal is to put on a safe, fun event for students that will also benefit a really great cause.”

The organization will sell pizza and the opportunity to “pie a Pi Phi.”

Chapter President Grace Capuano, a third-year in nursing, says the sorority wants to promote its philanthropy as well as the entire Greek community.

“We’re hoping the event will serve as yet another example of how the Greek community can contribute to both the Ohio State student body and the outside community as well,” she said.
