An employee at the 7-11 store at 1551 N. High St. reported to police that three thieves each grabbed a frozen pizza from the store and ran away without paying at 5:55 a.m. Monday. The employee says the same three thieves have been stealing regularly from the store and always come in at the same time, just before 6 a.m.
Restaurant reports dine-and-dash thiefAn employee of Yau’s restaurant on the 1400 block of North High Street told police that someone ate at the restaurant and left without paying the bill of $15.97. The thief attempted to pay with a credit card but left when it was declined.
Woman wants to press charges against roommateAn 18-year-old woman told police that her roommate at her East Eighth Avenue apartment has been making various threats against her since early March. She said she wants to document the threats and plans on filing charges at the prosecutor’s office.

Man says he was assaulted in bar fightA 29-year-old man reported to police that a man hit him in the head with a beer bottle Saturday night after they got into a fight at a bar on the 2100 block of North High Street. No charges have been filed.Burglars target windows• A 19-year-old Ohio State student and his 22-year-old roommate reported to police that a burglar entered their West Ninth Avenue home through an unlocked first-floor window Monday morning. The burglar stole an estimated $2,000 in property before leaving through the front door.
• A burglar apparently entered an apartment on the 1500 block of North Fourth Street through an unlocked first-floor window Monday morning. The 20-year-old resident reported that the burglar stole $320 in property. Police attempted to collect fingerprints from the window, but there were many prints and it appeared as if people had been “climbing in and out of the window for some time,” according to the police report.
