Senior forward Michael Prosuk got Ohio State (1-6-2) on the board in the 86th minute, but the Buckeyes to 0-2-1 in the Big Ten following a 3-1 loss to No. 19 Michigan (6-1-1) in Ann Arbor on Tuesday evening.

The Wolverines opened a three-goal lead through the first 82 minutes with goals coming from some of their offensive leaders, with junior defender Daniel Makuna, sophomore forward Umar Farouk Osman and junior forward Jack Hallahan all scoring for Michigan.

Lightning came through the area and created a 30-minute delayed in the 41st minute. After the delay, play resumed and the two teams took a shortened halftime break.

Prosuk, the lone goal scorer on the night for the Buckeyes, punched home his first goal of the season.

The Wolverines outshot the Buckeyes 14-5, including a 4-2 lead in shots on goal.

Both Ohio State’s redshirt junior goalkeeper Parker Siegfried and Michigan’s sophomore goalkeeper Henry Mashburn collected one save on the night.

The Buckeyes return home to take on Rutgers (1-5-1) on Sunday at noon.
