Elliott will host an open discussion in April about prejudice and discrimination.A town meeting between students and administrators to speak about these issues will hopefully follow the Jane Elliott event, said Jenny Spencer, north campus senator.Spencer would like other offices, such as Minority Affairs, Residence Life, Ethnic Student Services and the office of Student Affairs, to donate money to lower USG’s expenses.USG also passed legislation to create the position of University Senate Affairs Officer. The position was awarded to Chris Elsasser, Marion campus senate representative. Elsasser will serve as a voting member of the Student Senate Steering Committee. The new officer will also work with the vice president of the University Senate to help USG become more involved in University Senate affairs, said Greg Daniels, speaker of USG. USG also decided to pass legislation that will reimburse regional campus representatives who live in the regions they represent, for travel expenses to USG functions. They will be reimbursed 10 cents per mile, but no more than $128 per quarter, Elsasser said.On a lighter note, USG voted to officially make March 11 Greg Krabacher day at Ohio State, in honor of his birthday.
