April 18: An unidentified person attacked and stabbed a student, James Smith, in front of Jesse Owens Recreation Center South, according to University Police.
Smith, his girlfriend and another student were playing basketball in the south recreational center and, upon their exit, found four people standing by Smith’s car waiting for them.
One of Smith’s tires had been slashed. Smith’s girlfriend recognized the assailants from a party she had attended earlier, where she had had an argument with one of them.

When they realized Smith had been injured, they took off on foot. They were believed to be OSU students, according to the report. Further investigation is being processed.
