Nothing reverse about racism

I read the article in the Lantern titled “Reverse racism sparks endless questions” and could not believe the terminology used. I have to wonder if anyone looked in the dictionary to see what the word racism actually means. If not, I will tell you. Racism – a belief that some races are by nature superior to others; discrimination based on such belief. If you will notice, the definition does not mention any specific type of racism, that is, whites racist against blacks. In other words, blacks racist toward whites would be racism, not reverse racism. Reverse racism is some term that someone once made up that, for whatever reason, became popular. It would stand to reason that any discriminating act to an individual or group based on their race is just plain racism; nothing reverse about it.
