Throw out your empty beer cans and make some highlighter marks in your textbooks ‹ Ohio State Parents Weekend is here again. “The goal of Parents Weekend is to give parents the chance to get involved with their child, to have the opportunity to experience campus life, tour the university, be a part of school spirit, meet faculty and to create a vision to help parents feel welcome anytime,” said Bill Wahl, director of the Ohio State Parents Association.During the weekend, the association has created several events for parents.On Friday, parents are welcome to attend classes with their child.Later that night, the fourth-annual Halloween concert will be sponsored by the School of Music. This concert features the OSU Chorale, Women’s Glee Club, the Symphonic Band, and a variety of instrumental ensembles. Doors open at 8:00 p.m. with an admission price of $3.Friday night is also an opportunity to attend the Moonlight Tour, presented by student volunteers. This tour will allow parents to learn about the haunted myths and legends on campus.Events on Saturday begin at 8:45 a.m. with High on Pride, an effort to clean campus neighborhoods and streets.An all new variety show featuring vocal and comedy talent is being held at 8:00 p.m. This is the seventh year the Ohio State Parents Organization has sponsored the program.
