After the BJ scandal plagued USG last year, I hoped that this year’s presidential candidates would have elected to campaign as students and not as junior politicians. And that is why I was so disappointed when I visited the Russell/Everhart Web site.
Not only is it politically motivated (it even has press releases), but there is a picture on the home page of Dustin Russell and Nick Everhart (in ties) talking to an African-American student. This contrived, choreographed image, to make Russell/Everhart appear concerned about diversity is exactly the type of political rhetoric we all hoped to alleviate when BJ left office. There is no mention about diversity initiatives anywhere on the Russell/Everhart agenda and to use a staged photo is inappropriate and wrong.
