Medical CenterNew method to detect fetal abnormalities
Recently, the medical center has been utilizing the measurements of fetal nasal bones to detect fetal abnormalities. This measurement is taken within the first trimester through ultrasound screening.
The strength of this test is it becomes a great tool in reassuring parents that their baby is in good health. The plan of early detection could also be a helpful hand in guiding parents on how to develop a personalized health plan.
Younkin Success Center Library Art looks at history of gay community
The exhibit, “Evidence of our Past,” depicts 35 years of the gay community at OSU. This exhibition will open Tuesday and Thursday from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
The exhibit will display both the cultural an historical artifacts of the OSU gay community.
John Glenn School New director appointed
The Ohio State Board of Trustees appointed Charles Wise as the new director of the John Glenn School of Public Affairs.
Wise was a former professor in the School of Public and Environmental Affairs, professor of philanthropic studies and director of Parliamentary Development Project for Ukraine at Indiana University.
Columbus Convention CenterHolbrook receives leadership award
OSU President Karen A. Holbrook received the President’s Award for Leadership and Contributions in and for Technology Development. Holbrook was granted this merit by TechColumbus on Thusday at the annual TopCAT Awards.
The hardiness of Holbrook’s career at OSU has moved OSU to ninth place among public research universities in research expenditures and sixth in the country among all the universities in industry-sponsored research.
