Tuesday Jan. 22
8:25 a.m. – Polo Lots: Woman works in the hospital and parked her vehicle in the Polo Lots about 8:25 a.m. She returned to her vehicle at 9:20 p.m. and found the passenger side window of her vehicle broken out and the stereo missing. There was nothing else tampered with and no fingerprints were pulled off the vehicle. There are no suspects at this time.
8:30 a.m. – Polo Lots: A Biomedical Research Tower employee parked her Volvo in the 12th and Canon Lots at 8:30 a.m. She returned to her car at about 6 p.m. and found the passenger side window had been broken out. Her car stereo was stolen but nothing else was tampered with. There were no visible prints in or on the car.
9 a.m. – Polo Lots: Woman reported she parked her Acura Integra in the Polo Lots at approximately 9 a.m. She returned to her vehicle at 7 p.m. and found the passenger side window had been broken out and the stereo had been stolen. Although the dash was damaged, nothing else in the car was tampered with. There were no fingerprints on or in the car.
10 a.m. – Polo Lots: Woman says she parked her Chevrolet Cavalier in the Polo Lots at approximately 10 a.m. She returned to her vehicle and found the passenger side door lock had been punched and her stereo had been stolen. There were no fingerprints on or in the vehicle and nothing else was tampered with in the car.
Thursday, Jan. 18
5 p.m. – University Hospital: Female patient last saw her wallet in her purse, which is kept in a drawer or the closet. She said she was gone from the room for about an hour between 5 to 9 p.m. while walking the floor and going outside to smoke. She noticed the wallet missing from her purse and a canvas of the floor was done without success. No other known leads.
Friday, Jan. 19
7:30 a.m. – OSU Hospital East: Woman stated that a male brought food to the counter, set it down and then walked away. The man then returned, demanding his food that he had paid for. The manager stated to him that he had not paid for the food. The man then grabbed the food and ran out of an unknown exit. The food was worth about $8. No suspect was found.
12:30 p.m. – OSU Hospital: A man said he was admitted to the OSU Hospital last Wednesday morning. He was in the room until the next day and was only out of the room for one round of tests. He left his wallet in his clothing in an unsecured locker in his room. Unknown persons removed $340 from his wallet during his stay at the hospital. He realized the money was gone after he was discharged from the hospital. There was nothing else taken from his wallet.
1 p.m. – Morrill Tower: Victim reported he was playing video games with his roommates in the living room of his suite in Morrill Tower. When they were finished, each of them returned to their respective bedrooms within the suite, leaving the main entrance door to the suite propped open by about two inches. Less than 30 minutes later, the victim returned to the area to find his Playstation 3 and the game inside it were missing. The man also believes his roommate’s XBox 360 was taken at the same time. That roommate had gone home for the weekend and the missing XBox still needed to be verified.
Sunday, Jan. 21
9:05 a.m. – OSU Hospital: Hospital Security Dispatch aired a theft in progress from the OSU Hospital East cafeteria. The suspect was carrying a plate of food and some drinks. The cash register operator stated that the suspect filled a “to go” container with scrambled eggs and sausage and a doughnut and then obtained a carton of milk and a bottle of juice. The suspect then walked past the cash register. The cash register operator followed the subject to the elevators. She then went back to the cash register and called Hospital Security. The last place she saw the suspect was at the elevators. She gave the description of the suspect to the authorities.
