As power outages popped up across Columbus the area on and around campus was not spared as an area north of Lane Avenue from Clintonville to German Village lost power.

AEP Ohio reported that the loss of power was due to inclimate weather and that they hoped to have power restored to the area by 9 p.m. Tuesday.

Students in Lawrence Tower — which houses first- and second-year students — are without power, but no other Ohio State owned buildings were known to be impacted according to Ohio State University spokesman Dan Hedman.

Update: As of 7:38 p.m. AEP Ohio’s website is showing all power restored in the area.
