The Ohio State wrestling team beat the University of Ohio late Sunday night by a score of 19-17.After defeating University of Wisconsin earlier that day at St. John’s Arena, 27-11, Buckeyes made a trip to take on the Bobcats.Leading the way for OSU was heavyweight Nick Nutter, who fought a tough battle with OU’s Jim Guttridge, edging him 2-1.Mike Glane won his 118-pound match by a forfeit. Peter Rogers, OSU’s 158-ponder, won his match 6-5 over Dwight Gardner.Other winners for the Buckeyes were Mitch Clark at 177-pounds and 190-pound Anthony Gary.With the win OSU improved to 9-11 on the season. Next up for OSU is a road match at Northern Iowa this Friday.Softball record setThe OSU softball team came back home with two wins and a new record at the Arizona State Coca-Cola Classic this past weekend.The Buckeyes lost their first game to Utah State by a score of 5-4. OSU came back to win game number two against the University of Texas, 7-6. In the Texas game, sophomore Amy Haug tied an NCAA Division I single-game record for home runs when she smacked three homers to centerfield.Haug is the ninth player to hit three home runs in a single game. She moved to second on the OSU career home run list.The Buckeyes lost to the no. 3 ranked Fresno State Bulldogs, 7-4 in game three. The Buckeyes defeated Oregon State, 4-3 in game four. In the final contest of the weekned, OSU fell to no. 9 ranked Florida State, 7-2.Overall Buckeye pitcher Kelli Tom went 1-2 on the weekend and Jodi Dolan recorded 1-1 mark.
