The Undergraduate Student Government has elected a new speaker of its senate.
The election was held on Wednesday during USG’s meeting in the Ohio Union.
The speaker of the senate is in charge of running meetings and presides over the senate.
There were two candidates nominated for the position, Noah Litton, a social and behavior sciences senator and John Rensink, an off-campus senator.
Each candidate was given three minutes to explain their qualifications and then members of USG were given the chance to ask each candidate five questions.
Afterwards, a vote named Rensink the new speaker.
