Girls on trampolines, beer chugging, the Juggy Dance Squad and Household Hints from Adult Film Stars. It can only mean one thing; “The Man Show” is back for 12 new episodes, starting Wednesday at 10:30 p.m. on Comedy Central. Hosts Jimmy Kimmel, co-host of “Win Ben Stein’s Money” and Adam Carolla, co-host of “Loveline,” team up for an unapologetic look at the things men like, do and think. Kimmel was offended when someone told him he should try and appeal more to women. He decided to do the opposite and appeal to men like never before.Kimmel said that he has never had women tell him they didn’t like the show.”Maybe they weren’t interested in me or they were scared of me,” Kimmel said in a telephone interview. “One-third of the audience is women.”Wednesday night’s episode contains “Household Hints from Adult Film Stars” starring none other than Jenna Jameson teaching how to polish silver candlesticks to keep them tarnish-free. Other skits the show offers are “Father and Son with Jimmy and Kevin Kimmel” and “Man-o-vations.” Kimmel’s wife and son do help out with the skits. His son, Kevin, is featured on “Father and Son with Jimmy and Kevin Kimmel.” The father shares lessons on how to be a healthy young man. Fatherly advice comes in the form of the importance of ESPN, how to play quarters and the problems of marrying mommy.Beer chugging is another major component of “The Man Show.” The Fox, the ultimate beer chugger, plays the piano and sings to start and end each show. And yes, they do drink real beer in the studio.”It’s Sam Adams,” Kimmel said. “I think we should switch to Miller Lite.”Kimmel also stars in Miller Lite commercials with Daisy Fuentes.Carolla, Kimmel’s long time friend, teamed up with him to create the unique show.Kimmel began his career in radio. He eventually landed at KROQ in Los Angeles and he met Carolla in the hallways of the studio. Carolla started in construction and eventually decided to pursue a career in comedy. He met Kimmel at KROQ and developed a few skits for their morning show, which led to the station’s radio show “Loveline.” Carolla also serves as co-host on the television version of “Loveline” on MTV.Kimmel and Carolla come up with a lot of the ideas and they decide what is aired. “We have idea guys who help and it is a team effort,” Kimmel said.Carolla is known for his bold statements on sex and masturbation from “Loveline” and “The Man Show.””We discuss our interests and hobbies on the show,” Carolla said, when asked why he frequently talks on the subject of masturbation. Not many changes are in store for the new episodes.”It is the same old crap this year,” Kimmel said. “We will have a ‘Woman Show’ that appeals to their interests, has female stand-ups. It is heartwarming.”Each episode still ends the same way with girls jumping on trampolines.
