The Ohio State women’s volleyball team hopes its 13th-consecutive trip to the NCAA tournament can be a lucky one.

Yesterday, the NCAA awarded OSU the right to host one of 16 four-team regional brackets.

The action gets underway at 5 p.m. Friday at St. John Arena when Queen City rivals Cincinnati and Xavier square off. Following that match, OSU will play host to Robert Morris.

The winners of those two games will square off at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

The winner of the Columbus regional will take on the winner of the Durham, N.C. regional in the Sweet 16. In that regional, Southern Cal, Duke, William and Mary and Liberty will battle.

The Final Four will be held on Dec. 13 in San Diego, Calif., with the championship game taking place on Dec. 15.

OSU has never reached the Final Four, making the round of eight twice. Once in 1991 and again in 1994.
