I for one am tired of the campustruth.org ads. “There are two sides to every story” is the soapbox they stand on. The real truth is they don’t show two sides of the story.
World maps before 1948 depict Palestine as the true owner of that land. I think it is disgusting the campustruth.org ads seem to depict the Israelis as innocent bystanders. Why couldn’t the Jews just have immigrated to Palestine, Britain, Brazil or anywhere and become citizens?
You can’t claim a land that isn’t yours any longer. The Palestinians are fighting for a land that is rightfully theirs. As I see it, the United Nations and Britain started the problem, and the United States made it worse by recognizing Israel as a country.
The whole reason for setting up Israel was so the United States would have a stable democratic partner in that region of the world. The only thing that was accomplished was a lot more fighting. I personally think The Lantern should quit publishing this type of anti-propaganda propaganda.
