April 9: A man was punched in the face at Ohio State University Hospitals East according to University Police.
Officer David Ferimer arrived on the fifth floor of Talbot Hall where he found a 21-year-old man with a red swollen mark on the right side of his jaw.
A patient and staff member saw the attack, which occurred in front of the nurses station.
The suspect, a 45-year-old man, was arrested for assault.
Before being arrested he fell to his knees and began pounding his head against the frame of the hospital bed. He was taken to the University Police Department after a doctor checked his head.
Marajuana seized at residence hall
April 10: University Police found and seized two bags of marijuana from an unidentified student at the Houck House.
Woman threatened by prank caller
April 10: A female staff member of UNITS reported receiving harassing phone calls to University Police. A male voice called her work station telephone and repeated the word “bomb” several time and then hung up.
Student caught with gatearm in arms
April 12: An unidentified student carrying a traffic and parking gatearm from West 17th Avenue was found by University Police. The student said he did not break the gatearm and it was already lying on the ground. The student picked up the gatearm and attempted to take it for his friend.
