Support group for Latinas
A support group for Latinas will have a discussion meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. today on the fourth floor of the Ohio Union. Participants are welcome to decide the topic of discussion. The discussion revolves around cultural identity, homeland security and academic outreach.
Media arts, culture colloquium
An Australian-based performance artist will give a lecture on how concepts of the body relate with technology through human-machine interfaces incorporating medical imagine, prosthetics, robotics and the Internet at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Mershon Auditorium.
Women in Appalachia film
The film “Women in Appalachia, Film Makers and Communities, Stranger with A Camera” will be screened at 7 p.m. Thursday at Dreese Laboratories room 113. A post-film discussion with film maker Elizabeth Barret will follow at 8 p.m.
Film at Wexner
Wexner Center will show the film, “Divine Intervention and People and the Land,” at 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Wexner Center Film and Video Theater.
The Other Prom
The public is welcome to join The Other Prom from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Saturday at the Hillel Wexner Jewish Student Center. It is an activity organized by Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Student Services and the Multicultural Center.
