For students who are all thumbs when it comes to athletics, there is now a reason to visit Larkins Hall.
The Ohio State Department of Recreational Sports is hosting the 2004 Xbox Live Hoop Madness competition. The promotion, presented in part by ESPN College Hoops, allows gamers to compete with friends or online with students at 32 campuses around the country.
Prizes will be given away during the competition, and the OSU champion will have the chance to be selected to compete for the national title. The winner walks away with a free trip to San Antonio, a chance at tickets to an NCAA Final Four Tournament game and $3,500 in cash and scholarships.
The remaining dates for the open competitions are Feb. 23 and Feb. 25 from 11 a.m to 2 p.m. The games will be held in the north lobby of Larkins Hall. Pre-registration is not required.
