I am the mother of Julie Popovich. I’d like to express my thanks to the kind reporters who spent countless hours in the courtroom. They showed the utmost respect for our family during this period of unimaginable turmoil. Their professional demeanor did not go unnoticed. They were empathetic and respectful for our need for privacy.

Julie is gone, but justice was served. Young, naive and innocent women are no longer threatened by the evil that is Adam Saleh, but many more predators await their prey. Save another mother the agony of my loss, for truly, Julie was the light of my life. She will live on in my heart forever. Memories are God’s gift that neither death nor Adam Saleh can destroy.
