A 55-year-old woman reported to police that a man who she believes to be mentally ill threatened to kill her Tuesday night on the 300 block of Chittenden Avenue. She was walking down the street when the man, who was yelling and acting aggressive, began to threaten her for no reason. He told her, “F— you b—- I’m going to kill you, you know what I have in my pocket, I will kill all you mother f—-s.” Officers found the man at the end of the street and detained him, checked him for warrants, and then released him. The woman was referred to the county prosecutor’s office to press charges. Police say witnesses corroborated the woman’s story.

Couple graffiti seven buildings

Two men walked down Pearl Alley between 3 and 4 a.m. Tuesday, spraypainting graffiti on buildings as they walked along. The men spraypainted “YNN,” “YNN nerd” and “YNN homo nerd” on seven businesses and residences between the 2500 and 2700 blocks of North High Street. A surveillance camera shows the men walking in the alley, but the security officer in charge of the camera said that all he could distinguish was that it was two white men.
