Jan. 17: Two males were arrested for offenses involving underage persons.

One male was found with a 12-pack of beer and a 12-pack of malt liquor, while the other male had two bottles of rum and a 12-pack of beer. The first male, who possessed a false Ohio driver’s license, voluntarily consented to manufacturing the license for the purpose of purchasing alcoholic beverages. The first male was additionally charged with prohibited acts.

Both were released on summons to appear in court at a later date.

Female student reports harassment

Jan 16: A female student living in Drackett Tower reported she received a harassing telephone call. The student received the call shortly after taking a shower.

The unidentified male caller tried to engage her in conversation, telling her he was in her bed. The student then hung up the phone.

She said she will maintain a log of any similar calls.

Police looking into stolen bank bag

Jan. 17: A bank bag and its contents were stolen from a vehicle parked in an Ohio State University Medical Center parking garage.

The victim said he left his car and keys with a valet parker at the medical center in front of Rhodes Hall around 11 a.m. When a valet attendant returned the car around 6:30 p.m., the bank bag was missing. Further investigation is taking place.
