Nov. 1: A staff member of the Ohio Union contacted University Police after witnessing a man loading cases of beverages onto a metal cart from the pantry storage room inside the union.

The man was wheeling the cart southbound on North High Street and told officers the items were donated to him when questioned about the property.

He was placed under arrest for burglary and gave the officer numerous fictitious names.

The officer found several forged checks while searching the man and discovered a warrant for his arrest for parole violations associated with charges of aggravated robbery and felony drug abuse.

The man was transported to the Franklin County Jail for incarceration after a tissue containing an unknown substance was found in his coat pocket.

OSU fan’s fire put out by complaints

Nov. 2: A University Police officer was dispatched to a section of the Ohio Stadium after receiving several complaints from the crowd about marijuana being smoked in the area.

The crowd pointed to a man sitting in the section, and police found a bag containing marijuana in his pants leg. The man was issued a summons when police also discovered a stolen football ticket in his possession.

‘Lennon’ offends Stradley resident

Nov. 4: A resident of Stradley Hall reported ongoing telephone harassment by the same male caller for the past two weeks. The man identified himself as “Lennon,” made repeated sexually explicit remarks and told her he is masturbating. He has asked for the woman under several different names.

Road rage produces small silver badge

Nov. 4: According to University Police, a man was approached near the Central Services Building by an unknown man who followed him there, stating he cut him off in traffic on I-71.

When the man suggested they call University Police to mediate the situation, the unknown man stated he was a policeman and produced a small silver badge from his trunk.

The man said the unknown man became agitated at this point, refused to give his name and drove off.
