Clutch your Bible real tight, it may be the only thing left in America with strong morals behind it. With the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court ruling last week that same-sex couples have a right to marry, America is starting to crumble. If a conservative state like Massachusetts can make such a monumental decision, think how easy it will be for gays to spread their gospel to other states and force them to rule in the same way. The country will eventually be subjected to gay marriages and before you know it, our society is going to collapse. Think of the children for God’s sake!

“Marriage is a sacred institution between a man and a woman,” President Bush said last week. His sentiment is shared among millions of Americans throughout the country and I couldn’t agree with him more. We must fight to keep marriage a sacred tradition. I know I don’t want to share my Elvis look-alike priest with any gay couples. Where is the sacredness if you look at your rear view mirror and see a gay couple behind you when you’re pulling into a drive through chapel? Getting married wouldn’t feel as special anymore.

Let’s be honest, only 50 percent of us heterosexuals can make our marriages work. Gays have so many other issues and problems, they won’t have the time to work on their marriages. Gays don’t stand a chance at making their marriages work and the last thing we need is to have our divorce rate go up even higher.

It’s true that gays are subject to the same expenses as everyone else and by not allowing them to marry, it becomes a case of taxation without representation. However this is irrelevant, we have to protect our morals and besides, we should get some perks for being “normal”.

By allowing gay marriages, kids may suddenly start thinking being gay is cool and soon everyone will be part of a flaming nation. Before we know it, everyone will be gay and we’ll all stop reproducing and America will collapse due to the lack of a new generation. Of course some homosexuals will argue that using condoms and birth control pills are also cases of non-procreative sex but just about every church except the Catholic Church has eased up on this and allowed their use.

We need President Bush and Congressman Rick Santorum to fight for America and a make a new commandment, er, I mean amendment, to ban gay marriages. It’ll be a tough battle especially with those pesky liberals, who seem bent on corrupting American youth, screaming about injustice.

Once it’s in the books, it’ll hopefully be safe from any more criticism from liberals. Let’s think of the numerous blunders they’ve supported in the past including interracial marriages and civil rights

It’s not like our Constitution was created in order to protect minorities from the exasperated majority. By letting gays dictate important ceremonies in American culture, it’ll show the world how weak we’ve become. Forget about the terrorists attacking us again, how the heck do we expect to defend ourselves from the wrath of God for allowing so much sin to happen in our country?

Morals are the foundation of our country. They’re what prevents priests from raping little boys or corporate CEO’s from looting stockholders of their money to fund their personal escapades. Same sex marriages will undermine these great morals and the country will start to decompose from the rampant corruption that will spread through the land.

America is under attack, and I’m pleading with you to fight this onslaught. We must keep homosexuals as second class citizens in order to protect the morals that have made America so great. By allowing them to marry, we’ll open up a floodgate of problems. Next thing you know, marriage will be such a relaxed practice that every West Virginian will keep the loving in the family and that weird kid in your GEC class will marry his grandpa to get the health benefits once he dies. Allowing gays to have equal rights and solving any problems that arise from the situation isn’t a viable option that I’m willing to go through. I’ll be too busy dealing with my third divorce proceeding.
