Food critics will have a lot more to critique at the Reds’ new home, the Great American Ball Park. The Reds have provided more menu items for their fans – and more places to find them.
The Machine Room in left field is open year-round as a bar and grill and serves tasty treats like Montgomery Inn barbecue, pizza and salads, to name a few. Patrons can enjoy table service from the Machine Room’s patio overlooking the field.
The pub is also the best place to enjoy a Heineken and other imported beers with your favorite domestic choices like Budweiser and Michelob Light.
Entrance into the Machine Room is available year-round, but only with a ticket on game days.
Other favorite baseball fare is sold as well: hot dogs, pizza, pretzels, popcorn, brats, nachos and Cincinnati favorite Skyline Chili are all available – with a slightly inflated price tag. Hot dogs are $3, while a 16-ounce draft beer will cost $5.25.
In keeping with other modern upgrades in food service, newer items like chicken nachos, deep-fried Twinkies, and deep-fried bologna sandwiches are just a few several new upgrades.
But the most impressive upgrade of all is the sheer amount of concessions in the park. Fans no longer will have to try and go down levels of the park to find certain items. Every menu item can be found at every level of the park, from the expensive seats on up.
The Reds go out of their way to offer up these items in themed concession stands like Pete’s Pizza – alluding to Reds great Pete Rose – and Davey’s Cones alluding to former Reds shortstop Davey Concepcion.
The Reds also have professional chefs on staff to offer finer menu items for the $225 Diamond seats behind home plate and for parties or gatherings.
