After the 10-month time-out of the award-winning TV series, Heroes, the show is now set to return Sept. 22. The new volume in the series is called “Villains.”
The show is about a group of people who aren’t exactly “ordinary;” they have special powers they must learn to control.
In season one, the main tagline of the show was “save the cheerleader, save the world.” In the new season, that very cheerleader that needed saving, becomes evil.
Season two showed viewers four months after New York City exploded. It also introduced new characters that came into the lives of those already on the show. Sylar, the villain from the beginning of the series lost his powers and tries to get them back, although he fails.
Season three will be showing how Sylar gains his powers back and continues to abuse them so he can take over the world.
The series furthermore shows step-by-step how each of the heroes are linked to each other.
Season three will commence with the title, “The Butterfly Effect.”
Previews of the new season, referred to as volumes, have now hit during the NBC broadcast of the Olympic games.
Fans are highly anticipating the new season.
Krysten Bauman, a senior in visual communications at Ohio University said, “I’m both excited and anxious to see what will happen. They always surprise me.”
Bauman said she predicts some new characters will be introduced and Syler will cause a lot of trouble in the show, which she said she enjoys seeing.
“It gets better every season, so I can only hope that season three will top the rest and so on,” Bauman said.
