After finishing fourth overall in last year’s Big Ten championships, head coach Karen Dennis, named as the 2018 Big Ten Men’s Indoor Coach of the Year, brought home another championship on Sunday.

The Ohio State men’s track team won the 2018 Big Ten Outdoor Championship, recording 109 points ahead of Indiana and Nebraska.The men’s track team ended its championship drought in February, winning the Big Ten Indoor Championships for the first time in 25 years.

With top- five finishes in five different events, Ohio State recorded first-place finishes in two events. Freshman sprinter Eric Harrison, junior sprinter Duan Asemota, senior sprinter Drelan Bramwell and senior jumper Zach Bazile recorded a first place finish in the 4×100-meter relay, finishing in 38.93 seconds.

Harrison added a first-place finish of his own, running the 200-meter dash in 20.39 seconds. Junior sprinter Nick Gray came in second place, finishing in 20.55 seconds.

The Ohio State women’s team tied for fifth place with Michigan, Wisconsin and Nebraska with 60 points. Despite not winning any single event, the women’s team recorded seven top-five finishes including second-place finishes in the 200-meter dash and the 4×400-meter relay
