Clark Phillips, The No. 4 ranked cornerback in the 2020 recruiting class, announced he has committed to Ohio State on Friday.

The La Habra, Calif. native is the No. 46 overall prospect in the country per 247Sports, and becomes the third highest rated recruit in Ohio State’s class.

Phillips becomes the second four-star defensive back in the class, joining Lejond Cavazos who committed to the Buckeyes in April.

Ohio State offered the 5-foot-11, 180-pound cornerback a scholarship spot in January, and Phillips took an unofficial visit in March before his official visit this weekend.

Phillips is now the third defensive commit in Ohio State’s class, and the most highly touted of the group. He is the second commit recruited by first-year co-defensive coordinator and defensive backs coach Jeff Hafley.

Out of Ohio State’s 13 recruits for 2020, Phillips is the eighth out-of-state commit.
