A motor vehicle theft was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 12:01 a.m. Feb. 9 on Hudson Street and Kinnear Alley. According to the online police log, the victim parked her vehicle near her friend’s house, and when she woke up, the vehicle was gone. The victim believes she may have left her key in her vehicle.

An assault was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 2 a.m. Feb. 9 on North Pearl Street and East 11th Avenue. According to the online police log, unknown suspect(s) punched the victim in the face and fled in a silver or blue Hyundai.

A theft from a motor vehicle was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 3 p.m. Feb. 10 and 11:30 a.m. Feb. 11 on Summit Street near Hudson Avenue. According to the online police log, the victim was working when he realized his unlocked vehicle had been opened and about $1,300 of property was stolen, including various tools and a speaker.

A theft from a motor vehicle was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 8 p.m. Feb. 10 and 4 a.m. Feb. 11 on Adams Avenue near East Blake Avenue. According to the online police log, unknown suspect(s) smashed the driver’s side window and stole about $2,000 of property, including a handgun, U.S. Army uniform, gun ammunition and an automatic knife.

A rape was reported to University Police as having occurred at midnight Thursday at Smith-Steeb Hall.

A burglary was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 2:20 p.m. Friday on Waldeck Avenue near North Pearl Street. According to the online police log, the victim woke up to the suspect in his room, and the suspect said he was looking to buy marijuana. The victim told the suspect he was in the wrong place, and the suspect left out the back door. The victim later noticed that an iPad was missing.

A motor vehicle theft was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 7 p.m. Friday and 7:23 p.m. Saturday on East Lane Avenue near Summit Street. According to the online police log, the victim stated that she left the keys in the car door overnight, and they were removed from the door.

A theft from a motor vehicle was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 9 p.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday on Indianola Avenue near East Tompkins Street. According to the online police log, the victim believes his firearm was stolen from his vehicle.

A robbery was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 12:34 a.m. Friday on North High Street near East 13th Avenue. According to the online police log, the victim was standing outside when unknown suspects approached him and punched him five times. The victim could not provide information about the suspects.
