An incident of criminal damaging was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 9 p.m. Jan. 27 and 5:40 a.m. Jan. 28 on East 19th Avenue near Summit Street. According to the online police log, unknown suspects smashed out the driver’s side window and stole a Gatorade.
Four instances of criminal damaging were reported to Columbus Police as having occurred between 10 p.m. Jan. 27 and 7 a.m. Jan. 28 on East 11th Avenue near North Fourth Street. According to the online police log, three of the victims had their window smashed open; the fourth had their window cracked open. One backpack was stolen from one vehicle.
A theft was reported to University Police as having occurred between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Paterson Hall.
An assault was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 11:30 a.m. Thursday on North High Street and 12th Avenue. According to the online police log, the victim was being followed by the suspect down High Street, and the suspect attacked and punched the victim for no reason.
A felony assault was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 2:25 a.m. Saturday at The Big Bar and Grill on North High Street. According to the online police log, the victim was transported to an Ohio State hospital and did not know what happened. The caller reported that a fight broke out with about 10 males and the victim was on the ground.
A motor vehicle theft was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 3:51 a.m. Saturday on East Hudson Avenue near Summit Street. According to the online police log, the victim’s vehicle was stolen with an iPhone and TV set inside.
An assault was reported to Columbus Police as having occurred at 2:28 a.m. Sunday on North High Street and East 13th Avenue. According to the online police log, officers were dispatched to the location, and upon arrival, the victim was unconscious on the ground. The witness stated that the suspect punched the victim in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, and then stomped on his face with his boot. The victim was transported to an Ohio State hospital.
An assault was reported to University Police as having occurred at 3:17 a.m. Sunday at Scott House.
