The Panera Bread located at 1619 N. High St. has closed its doors.

The cafe and bakery on the corner of High Street and 11th Avenue was one of three Panera Bread locations near campus — the others are located on Lane Avenue and 10th Avenue, on Ohio State’s medical campus. The High Street location was open for 15 years, according to Columbus Underground.

Panera representatives did not respond to requests for comment.

This is the second Gateway-area restaurant to close within a month, following The District Pourhouse, which closed in mid-December.

Gateway is no stranger to change, with recent closings such as campus staples Ugly Tuna Saloona and Mad Mex, which both moved out in 2018 and have since been replaced.
