Ohio State listed eight players unavailable and three more game-time decisions for Friday’s matchup with Northwestern in its weekly status report Thursday.
Junior and starting left offensive tackle Thayer Munford will be a game-time decision for the 8:30 p.m. kickoff. Munford this past season’s Rose Bowl and time in the spring with injuries, but has started each game thus far this season.
The player that replaced Munford in the Rose Bowl, redshirt senior offensive lineman Joshua Alabi, is listed as unavailable this week. Alabi filled in for injured redshirt senior right offensive tackle Branden Bowen in the starting lineup against Nebraska for a performance that earned him Offensive Player of the Week honors from the team.
Junior linebacker Baron Browning and redshirt junior tight end Jake Hausmann will both be unavailable for the first time this year.
Redshirt senior wide receiver C.J. Saunders, who has not yet played a game this year for the Buckeyes, will be a game-time decision for the second straight game. Sophomore linebacker Teradja Mitchell is listed as a game-time decision after missing the previous game against Michigan State.
